Sharks trio take the early plea

Sharks Chad Townsend, Wade Graham and Toby Rudolf have all taken the early guilty plea on match review charges stemming from the game against the Knights on Friday.

Townsend will miss three matches after pleading guilty to a grade three shoulder charge, Graham two games after also deciding not to challenge his dangerous throw charge, while Rudolf will be available to play against the Warriors on Sunday in taking the early guilty plea on his match review penalty.

The suspension for Townsend will mean he misses the Sharks final three games of the regular season, with Graham unable to return until his team's round 20 clash with Canberra.

Townsend will have 75 carry overs, Graham 25 and Rudolf 75, with the points to be added to any future match review panel charges.

The suspensions will come as a blow to a Sharks side which faces a challenging run over the final three weeks of the season as they look to lock down a finals berth.
