It was a crucial win to kick start their 2020 season, with the Sharks scoring an important win over the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday night.
The Sharks, who endured a disrupted game day preparation with a handful of players initially failing their COVID-19 temperature checks, showed plenty of character and determination in holding off a couple of potential North Queensland comebacks before going on with the job in the 26-16 victory.
The forwards laid the platform for the win, with the backs capitalising, Jesse Ramien and Ronaldo Mulitalo both notching a try-scoring double in showing they will be an attacking force and the weeks and months ahead.
