Shaun Johnson has been withdrawn from the Sharks team to play Manly today at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
Johnson has a virus which will prevent him from taking to the field, with the Kiwi five eighth expected to be fit and available well in advance of the Sharks round one clash against Souths.
Connor Tracey comes into the Sharks starting side where he will partner Chad Townsend in the halves, with Brayden Trindall one of 10 fresh players included on the interchange bench and likely to back up the two halves.
Ronaldo Mulitalo will also miss the match after suffering a minor injury in PNG last weekend. The injury isn't deemed serious, with his withdrawal from today's game as a precaution with the start of the season just two weeks away.
Youngster Jackson Ferris, impressive against the Bulldogs in Port Moresby, comes into the team in place of Mulitalo.
The match will also be the first in Sharks colours for Mawene Hiroti, with the former Rabbitoh to get some game time in the outside backs, while Andrew Fifita and Braden Hamlin-Uele will also be having their first hit outs for the year.
The Sharks v Manly trial kicks off at 6.00pm at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, with the Sharks updated team listed below.
