The Tarsha Gale Sharks have fought back from an 18-0 deficit to beat the Bulldogs 20-18 in a round two clash played at Belmore on Friday night.

The Sharks girls gave up four tries in the first 13 minutes of the match to fall behind 18-0, before regaining some composure, with a Jaime Chapman try sending them to the break with at least some hope of a second period revival.

The second half turned out to be all Sharks, Chapman crossing for a second in the third minute of the half, her fifth try in just her second game of the season, before a Tayah Beckett four-pointer eight minutes from time put the Cronulla side within striking distance at 18-4.

Then capping off their comeback, with time running out it was an Ella Barker four-pointer, calmly converted by Tia Hinds, which put the Sharks in front in the dying moments.

On the back of an impressive first round win over the Newcastle Knights the Sharks are two from two in what has been a strong start to their Tarsha Gale campaign.

The Tarsha Gale Sharks play the Panthers next Sunday, with the Matthews Cup and SG Ball boys in action today against Western Suburbs at Campbelltown Stadium.
