Southern NSW has been hit hard by the ongoing bushfire crisis, and the Cronulla Sharks want to offer our assistance to those sports clubs and facilities in the region most affected.
Sharks Have Heart are seeking expressions of interest for your sports club, sports facility or schools to be the beneficiaries of the Sharks Bushfire Appeal.
Here at the Sharks we know how critical sport is to the fabric of a community, we live it every day. Local clubs are integral to rural communities and the Australian way of life, a place to meet, grow and make life-long friendships and memories. We are deeply saddened to think these community pillars may be lost or damaged this fire season.
The Sharks Bushfire Appeal is under way and will continue throughout the bushfire season with all funds raised going directly from our Sharks community to yours, in doing our bit to help your club get back on its feet. Our aim is to provide relief, replace damaged or lost goods and assist with repairs, providing one element of recovery to your community.
If you are not affected by the fires but know of a sports club or facility that is struggling, please share to make sure our support reaches where it is needed most.
Please ensure your application has a detailed description of how the Sharks Bushfire Appeal can help support your club, and if available any relevant photographs of losses incurred. Applications are also open to nominate families or individuals who have been directly impacted that are in some way involved withinin the sporting community.
Applications must include a contact name, phone number, email and postal address.
Sharks Have Heart staff will assess each application and those successful will be contacted.
Please include the information requested in an email to [email protected].
Applications for assistance close 5pm, Friday 28 February.
