The Jersey Flegg Sharks bounced back following their round six loss to the Panthers when they registered a 40-16 win over the Wests Tigers on Sunday.
The young Sharks didn’t exactly have it all their own way, going to half time up by four points at 20-16 in front, however they recaptured the form which had them on top of the under-20’s ladder through the first five rounds in doubling their total and keeping the Tigers try less in the second period of the match.
The Sharks now have five wins from their six matches in 2019 and sit level with the Penrith Panthers on 10 points.
This week the Sharks host the Victorian Thunderbolts in a round eight clash to be played at PointsBet Stadium as the curtain-raiser to the NRL match against the Storm.
The two teams have met once this season already, with the Sharks 40-6 victors in a round 4 match played in Melbourne.
