FAN POLL | Round 5 Man of the Match

It's that time of the week again where we want to hear who you thought was the Shark's 'Man of the Match' in Round 5.

The Sharks ran for more metres, had six line breaks to five by the Roosters, 19 offloads to just 10 from their opponents, conceded only three penalties and received six, while both teams had 14 errors.

But the only numbers that matter are the 30-16 scoreline.

It was a tough loss for the Sharks on Saturday night at home. If the last seconds of the first half weren't enough, the opening eight minutes of the second period certainly sealed the result.

The Roosters marched down the field and scored not once, not twice but three times and 6-0 after 39 minutes and 30 seconds had blown out to 30-0 just 48 minutes into the contest.

A tireless defensive performance from Jayden Brailey, making a game-high 62 tackles, was one of the highlights. Maybe even more impressive than that number was the stat that he missed just one all night.

Kurt Capewell was once again solid on the left edge, with a couple of solid attacking efforts providing plenty of space for his outside men, which would lead to a try on each occasion.

Briton Nikora split the defence on a number of occasions as well to continue his run of solid form in his first 5 matches in the top grade.

But enough from us, who do you think deserves the Sharks.com.au Fan Poll 'Man of the Match' award in Round 5?

Vote in our poll below.
