Late Mail - Elimination Semi Final

Late Mail - Elimination Semi Final

A shoulder injury to Josh Dugan has opened the door for Sharks young centre Jesse Ramien to return for tonight's elimination semi-final against the Penrith Panthers.

Dugan trained Tuesday but was ruled out late on Thursday following the team's captains run when his shoulder problem hadn't responded to treatment.

However, in Ramien, the Sharks welcome back a player who has arguably been their most destructive outside back, with the 21-year-old enjoying an outstanding season. He had missed the previous three games after injuring an ankle in the Sharks round 23 match against the Cowboys.

Other than the Ramien for Dugan swap, the Sharks have only slightly tweaked their line up from the team selected on Tuesday.

Kurt Capewell, after missing the Roosters game, goes into the starting side in place of Wade Graham, with Scott Sorensen moving back to the interchange bench.

Graham will undergo knee surgery next week after tearing his ACL in the early moments of the Roosters game last weekend.

Joseph Paulo and Kyle Flanagan drop off the Sharks 19-man squad list for the game tonight, with Paulo to warm up as the 18th man.

The Sharks v Roosters match is scheduled to get underway at 7.50pm.
