Jersey Flegg Team List - Sharks v Mounties

Following an undefeated run through the first 13 rounds of the Jersey Flegg competition the Sharks came back to earth with a thud last weekend when comprehensively beaten by the Parramatta Eels at Ringrose Park on Sunday.

The Eels ran in eight tries to one in a 42-6 thumping of the young Sharks, with the loss seeing them slip from first to third on the Jersey Flegg ladder.

The lone Sharks try came from Josh Carr, however they proved no match for a rampaging Parramatta outfit which led 18-6 at the break then totally dominated the Cronulla side in the second period.

The Sharks now sit level with Newcastle and Penrith on top of the Flegg ladder but are third on percentages.

This week they will be hoping to return to their winning ways in a match to be played as the curtain-raiser to the Sharks v Broncos game at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Saturday night.

The Flegg Sharks host Mounties, a team linked with the Canberra Raiders who sit in fifth place on the competition table.

Sharks coach Dave Howlett has resisted making wholesale changes, however he will be encouraged by the return of NSW Under-18s centre Bronson Xerri who missed the Eels clash.

The Jersey Flegg Sharks team list is below, with the match to get underway at 5.05pm on Saturday.
