Last Time We Met v Eels

Round 3 Match Highlights

The Cronulla Sharks earned their first win of the 2018 Telstra Premiership by beating Parramatta 14-4 at ANZ Stadium when the two sides last met back in Round 3.

Sharks Halfback Chad Townsend provided all of the points with a converted try and 4 penalty goals from 4 attempts.

Sharks skipper Paul Gallen brushed aside speculation of a foot injury, hitting it up hard and popping a late offload for Jayson Bukuya to break through the line and send Chad over.

Sharks prop Andrew Fifita was also enormous, with 158 metres in a dominant display as the Sharks retained the Johnny Mannah Cup.

It wasn't good news for the Eels, who would slump to their fourth loss leaving them 0-4 to start the season.

Star recruit Jarryd Hayne lasted only 29 minutes, limping from the field with a hip injury that would see him sidelined for the remainder of the game.
