Courtesy of finishing on top of the ladder at the conclusion of the 26-round regular season, the NYC Sharks live to fight another day despite the disappointing loss to the Parramatta Eels at Allianz Stadium yesterday.

The Sharks now move on to play the Manly Sea Eagles in an elimination game scheduled for ANZ Stadium next Saturday.

The game will kick off at 5.00pm.

After falling to the Eels by 35 to 22 the Sharks will be licking their wounds as they try to find the form that saw them finish seven points clear of the competition as Holden Cup minor premiers.

The young Sharks began reasonably well, took a narrow lead to half time, but couldn’t withstand the Eels pressure as they slipped to a third consecutive defeat.

The Sharks v Manly NYC Finals match will be the curtain-raiser to the Cowboys v Parramatta NRL clash, with the winner to play St George Illawarra for a place in the Holden Cup Grand Final.
