Competition - NRL Premiership Round. Round - Round 11. Teams - Cronulla Sharks v Manly Sea Eagles. Date - 21st of May 2016. Venue - Southern Cross Group Stadium, Woolooware NSW. Photographer - Paul Barkley.

The Sharks return to the Shire on Saturday night and it’s set to be jam-packed for our Members and fans!

Round 22 sees the Sharks and Raiders compete in the Kokoda Challenge, the first annual commemorating game that will honour and recognise one of Australia’s greatest military campaigns, the Battle of Kokoda.

The two sides have joined together to commemorate and pay their respects for those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Make Bullying History Foundation will be our Community partner on the night.

The action on the field starts pre-game, with our Junior Rugby League stars on show.

Dane Wheeler will be taking the night by the horns and will MC the evening, getting the crowd up for the Fins Up Cam, the Mermaids and 67 kids crew performances, before we take a moment to reflect on the big screen with a Kokoda video package.

When half time rolls around, prepare to be dazzled by the skills of some of our young stars in the making, with the final of the Hydralite 1-on-1 Challenge to be contested between the St Patricks, Como, and De La Salle Rugby League Clubs, before turning our attention to the big screen to see some captured footage from the battle of Kokoda.

Following the footage, Sharks Presenter Liam Tapper will be speaking to Dr Genevieve Nelson, the CEO of The Kokoda Track Foundation.

A performance from the best in the business, the Mermaids, and a big-old sing along of ‘Sweet Caroline’ will round out the half time festivities.

Around the grounds, we will have the Sharks Slide on hand, obstacle course, face painters and inflatable Sharks at both entrances! The Mermaids and mascots will be around the ground, our drummers will be in the Shark Tank, black white and blue flags will fly around the stadium and DJs at entrances at both gates will kick off the night in style.

Food offerings on the night are as mouth-watering as ever with Howling Forest coffee, Berlin Bangers German sausages, Street Slider Burgers, Caminito sausage sizzle, Cheese Toastees, Pizza Trailer, 1 Ice Cream Truck on Family Hill plus kiosks open all over!

After the action on the field the kids can create their own, with the always popular ‘Kids On Field’ to commence shortly after the full time siren.

With so much in store, what better way to spend your Saturday night? Grab your tickets, get down to Southern Cross Group Stadium and show your support for your Cronulla Sharks!
