The NYC Sharks will look to extend their 10-game winning streak, 13-match unbeaten run, when they host the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Friday night.
Undefeated since a loss to the Eels in round four and having won 10 straight following their draw against the Panthers in round seven, the young Sharks continued their winning ways when they beat both the slippery conditions and a committed Gold Coast side last weekend.
The Sharks notched a 32-12 win to put them five points clear of the second-placed teams on the NYC competition table.
This week they face the challenge of a Souths team sitting 14th but desperate for a victory to keep any slim finals hopes alive.
Sharks Coach John Morris has named a 23-man squad for Friday’s match, with the list to be trimmed to 20 on Thursday. Morris will then announce his 17 players for Friday’s game one-hour before kick-off, which is scheduled to take place at 5.35pm.
