Spending his first State of Origin period not in the sky blue of New South Wales since 2005 and he is feeling fresh.

Gallen has been an integral member of the Blues set up since his debut in Game 3 of the 2006 Series, with his maiden victory coming in 2014.

Our Sharks skipper also happened to be the NSW captain that year too.

However, with a spring in his step, Gallen is feeling as fresh as he ever has at this time of year and is loving it.

“I feel great,” Gallen said.

“I’ll be honest; it feels a little different not being in camp but I’m loving where we’re at here at the Sharks. I've had my time there and i'm happy to be spending my days here (the Sharks) like normal."

Adding fuel to Gallen’s fire has been his team mates, pushing him to his physical limits both in the gym and on the training paddock.

“The boys who aren’t in Origin have been pushing themselves each and every day and it’s good to see and to be a part of.

“We know how big the backend of the year will be so I’m glad we’re putting in some good work now.”

Sharks fans know just how important Gallen is to our Club’s success and will be loving see him run out in the black, white and blue, not just the Sky Blue of NSW.

The “G-Train” has been hitting PBs in the gym and hitting some of his best stats on the field too and this does not look like slowing down.

Sharks fans, he was voted your Captain of the Team of the Half Century and he is as much a part of the Sharks as anyone.

Gal, it’s good to have you around!
