The junior Sharks will attempt to keep their respective unbeaten records alive when the Matthews Cup, SG Ball and Tarsha Gale Cup teams take to the field at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday.

With all three sides coming through their first two games with consecutive victories, the Sharks will head west in a confident frame of mind when they tackle Wests, the boys the Magpies, the girls the Tigers, in round four matches.

After round one games in Newcastle were abandoned the boys teams have been solid in their matches since, against the Sydney Roosters then South Sydney, with the under-16 Matthews Cup team particularly impressive in their last start 22-6 win over the Rabbitohs.

Their opponents this weekend the Magpies have suffered two losses as opposed to the two Sharks wins, however coach Glenn Brailey is sure to be warning his team against any complacency.

In the Ball the Sharks did it a little tougher in their game against Souths, a last minute try from edge backrower Teig Wilton helping them escape with a narrow victory and a valuable two competition points with a tough run of matches still in front of them.

Unlike their Matthews Cup counterparts the Ball Magpies have begun their season strongly, two wins seeing them alongside the Sharks at the top of the points table, setting up an intriguing battle on Saturday.

As for the Tarsha Gale team, their form has been notable, with the girls establishing a dominance early and going on with the job to score big wins in both of their contests.

They play a Wests Tigers team on Saturday.

Kick off times at Campbelltown Stadium are 11.00am for the Tarsha Gale clash, the Matthews Cup is scheduled to get underway at 12.00pm, followed by the SG Ball at 1.30pm.
