Valentine Holmes will have scans in the morning to assess the extent of the damage of a slight hamstring strain.

Sustained while attempting to score a try in the second half of the match, Holmes felt a slight strain in his right hamstring.

Shane Flanagan said that while the injury was not as bad as initially expected, his medical staff will keep a close eye on the fullback.

“He just felt his hamstring grab a little bit when he jumped to score that try,” Flanagan told www.sharks.com.au.

“When he got back into the sheds, it wasn’t as bad as first thought but it’s not good.”

Flanagan confirmed that Holmes would go for scans tomorrow to assess the extent of the damage before focus turns to the World Club Challenge.

“He’ll have scans tomorrow morning so we know exactly what’s wrong.”

Stay tuned to www.sharks.com.au for updates on this injury situation as it comes to hand.
