Canberra Raiders fullback Jack Wighton has been charged by the Match Review Committee following yesterday’s match against the Wests Tigers.

Wighton has been charged with a Grade 2 Shoulder charge after his hit on Joel Edwards in the 70th minute of the match.

The offence carries a base penalty of 350 points but because Wighton has two prior offences in the past two years, it increases to 490 points.

With an early guilty plea, the penalty can be reduced to 367 points.
