Sharks and Blues half James Maloney spoke with NRL Films after the Blues come-from-behind win over Queensland on Wednesday night.
A sharp-shooter off the tee in his own right - and with the result beyond doubt - Maloney said he was only too happy to see close friend and Blues Captain Paul Gallen step up to slot the final conversion after the full time siren.
"He nailed it," Maloney laughed.
"It was a nice way to send him off. A lot of the talk leading into this game was for him ... To send him off the best way we could (on Wednesday night), was good."
