The action on the field will be intense, with the Sharks looking to bury the Manly ‘hoodoo’ when they tackle their cross-town rivals at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Saturday night.

Currently cruising along in second place on the NRL ladder and on the back of a 62-0 demolition of the Newcastle Knights last Sunday, the Sharks are riding high and the boys are primed for another big performance against a high quality opponent.

However before the big game starts at 7.30pm, plenty of activities have been planned to encourage all Sharks members and fans to not only get to the game but to get there early.

The NYC match between the Sharks and Sea Eagles, with John Morris’s under-20’s squad travelling nicely inside the top eight on the competition table, kicks off at 5.15pm, with an array of on-field entertainment to take place before the main game gets underway.

Local junior league teams will give the youngsters the chance to showcase their skills on the same turf the big boys will go to battle on shortly after, with 13 junior members to later run out with the team and another group of young members to form a guard of honour.

On the big screen the Sharks NRL playing squad have some messages of thanks for the Members in recognising the 2016 Members round, with a Steve Rogers Tribute video to highlight not only his outstanding contribution to the club on and off the field but to commemorate the 10th year of the Steve Rogers Cup being contested by the Sharks and Sea Eagles.

A variety of other members round activations, including the NRL team wearing the unique 2016 Members jersey and the unveiling of a special run-through banner, are also set to take place.

Planned to get everyone in the mood Rob and Liam from Sharks TV will take a quick look at last week’s big win in Newcastle and preview the game against Manly, with the pair to talk to former Shark and current Footy Show personality Beau Ryan.

At half time the magnificent Sharks Mermaids will strut their stuff in a spectacular dance routine, the Junior League and oz-tag teams will return for round two, there will be Members watch giveaways and much more.

After the game fans can then look forward to the Steve Rogers Cup presentation, hopefully handed to Paul Gallen as the winning captain, before the siren will invite the kids onto the field for a ‘Shark kick’ around on the hallowed turf of the Southern Cross Group Stadium.

Then in the adjacent Leagues Club it will be a blast from the past with The Radiators perform from 9.15pm in the main lounge, with a Members Only Post-match presentation happening upstairs in the auditorium.

Be there on Saturday, cheer the Cronulla boys on as they continue their climb up the NRL ladder and enjoy all that game day at Sharks has to offer.
