After one of the most bizarre matches ever seen in the NYC last weekend the Sharks will hope for the same result but a distinctly different style of game when they take on the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown later today.

The young Sharks trailed the Storm 34-6 at half time of their match on Monday night, only to make one of the great comebacks in NYC history, eventually coming away with a 48-40 win to remain undefeated after three matches.

Coach John Morris appeared on SharkCastTV during the week and spoke about the Storm match and how his team managed to turn their fortunes around.

“I said just get back to doing what we’ve practiced and the points will come. I just didn’t think they’d come that quick,” Morris said.

“But the way the boys fought back is a good quality to have.”

The victory on Monday was the Sharks third in 2016, with their Manly match in round three postponed due to the condition of Brookvale Oval, leaving them on six competition points, one win ahead of their opponents this weekend.

The NYC Tigers had also been rolling along in a positive manner until suffering a 40-4 flogging at the hands of the Eels last round, making them desperate to quickly turn their fortunes around on Saturday against the Sharks.

As for the Sharks, Morris will be hoping for similar efforts from a number of his leading lights, with hooker Jayden Brailey, prop Jaimin Jolliffe and winger Sione Katoa impressive over the opening rounds of the season.

The Sharks v Tigers NYC clash is scheduled to kick off at 3.15pm on Saturday.
