Chad Townsend played the role of team 'general' to perfection on day one at the NRL Nines, his direction in the middle of the field helping the Sharks register two wins to sit atop their pool.
It was also his try-saving effort deep into the second half to deny a Dragons try in game two which turned out to be a game-changer as the Sharks went on to score a 17-8 over their local rivals.
