In a clear indication the rugby league season is just around the corner, the Sharks Junior rep and NYC teams will be in action tomorrow in pre-season trial matches.
The Under-16 Matthews Cup and Under-18 SG Ball squads play host to the Canberra Raiders at the Sharks Academy fields at Cronulla High School, with games also to be contested between the Matthews and Ball development squads.
Games kick off at 11.30am, with the Ball trial at 3.30pm the final game on the schedule.
The young Sharks travelled to Dora Creek near Newcastle to take on the Knights last weekend, with the Raiders hit-out their second of three trial matches before the start of the season proper on February 13.
The Sharks Junior Rep sides will play the Bulldogs on February 6.
Both the SG Ball and Matthews Cup Sharks will be defending National and State Championship titles in 2016 after an incredibly successful 2015 campaign.
As for the NYC Sharks, they held an inter-squad scrimmage last weekend but on Saturday (tomorrow) they will tackle the St George Illawarra Dragons at Kogarah Oval in their first pre-season trial game against a fellow Under-20’s opponent.
The NYC trial will get underway at 3.30pm.
