Returning to the Sharks ahead of the 2016 season, half Chad Townsend spoke with Sky Sports Radio's 'Big Sports Breakfast' on Thursday morning.
Now back in the familiar black, white and blue colours, Townsend said he is looking forward to the 2016 campaign after returning to the Shire after two years in Auckland.
"Some of the changes that I've noticed in my two years away have been quite phenomenal," he said.
"(The time in Auckland) was a growth period for myself ... the Warriors gave me (an opportunity). I thought I improved on the field, but I learned a lot off the field as well."
