The Cronulla Sharks have returned to the grind this morning, officially beginning pre-season 2016.

With the bulk of the squad on hand, the group were addressed by Head Coach Shane Flanagan and Physical Performance Manager Andrew Gray before being put through a series of individual tests at the Sharks Leagues Club.

The players will now head to the Academy Fields at Cronulla High School to take on a running test before an afternoon of induction presentations.

Wade Graham and new-recruit James Maloney were unable to join their teammates on the first day after still being grounded in Bali due to unsafe travel conditions.

Skipper Paul Gallen and 2015 star Valentine Holmes will join the squad at a later date.

Stay tuned for interviews and a gallery from day one of pre-season throughout the day.
