The Sharks merchandise van pulled out of Remondis Stadium for the 2000-plus kilometre trip to Townsville early this morning and Green Options maintenance staff were hard at work tending to the playing surface at Remondis Stadium, however all else was quiet on Thursday with a player rest day ahead of the big game this weekend.

The merchandise van headed north fully stocked with the full range of Sharks apparel and other products and will eventually ‘land’ on site at 1300SMILES Stadium, where they will take up a position inside the ground on game day.

So for those attending the game, be sure to drop by and pick up an item of the latest Sharks gear.

Also set to ‘land’ in Townsville is the Sharks plane, a chartered Alliance Airlines flight which will deliver up to 100 Sharks fans to the game on Saturday.

A limited number of seats are still available, so click on the following link to find out more information or to book your spot - CLICK HERE.

The Sharks NRL squad, including staff, will return with the fans on the ‘Sharks Plane’ on its journey back to Sydney on Sunday.

Thanks to Sharks corporate partner AFS, who have provided The Solution for Cronulla Sharks Supporters in helping to get the specially chartered flight off the ground.

However, back to the business of footy and the Sharks were freshening up with a rest day from training, with the Captain’s Run scheduled for Friday morning.

The playing group will then head for the airport ahead of their flight and departure to Townsville.

While keeping off their feet, some players were scheduled to do some media work during the day, with Michael Ennis locked in for an afternoon photo shoot and Wade Graham for an NRL Facebook chat later tonight.

Go to the NRL Facebook page, ask Wade a question or just look and listen to what he has to say from 8.30pm tonight.

Shane Flanagan was also on the Big Sports Breakfast this morning. If you missed it, go to the Sharks Radio page to listen to what he had to say – CLICK HERE

Now only two more sleeps before all the action of the big game, Sharks v Cowboys at 1300SMILES Stadium, kicking off at 7.40pm on Saturday night.

PS: If you didn’t grab a seat on the ‘Shark Plane’ and have decided to stay back in the Shire rather than head for Townsville, Sharkies Leagues Club is the perfect place to catch all the action.

The game will be shown live on big screens in the Summertime Bar, auditorium and Locker Room, with all televisions in the Steve Rogers main bar area also screening the game.

Get down to Sharkies and cheer the boys on from afar.
