With the Sharks having a bye and State of Origin dominating the headlines, the news has largely centred around the NSW team, with Blues and Cronulla club captain Paul Gallen attracting plenty of interest.

Gallen’s return to the NSW team was a topic of conversation early in the Origin campaign, a meeting with NRL boss Dave Smith clearing the air after their previous differences was another, while Jarryd Hayne in a column written in the Sydney Morning Herald declared Gallen will go down as one of the greats of the Origin arena.

In other news the Daily Telegraph delivered a mid-season report card on the Sharks and the NSWRL website profiled half back Todd Murphy, currently playing for the Jets in the NSW Cup and waiting for his shot in the top grade.

See what they are writing and talking about, in Sharks in the News for Monday, June 15.
