Sharks Wade Graham and Mitch Brown were only too happy to reminisce about their old junior days and the clubs where for them the journey into professional rugby league began.

Brown, a local junior from the Gymea club and Graham who hails from Blacktown City, both have many fond memories from their younger days and had no hesitation in doing their bit for PlayNRL round.

While the official PlayNRL round is this weekend, Round 3 of the Telstra Premiership, the Sharks will celebrate junior league next Saturday evening when they host the Gold Coast Titans at Remondis Stadium at the family-friendly kick off time of 5.30pm.

Junior league teams from a variety of local clubs will get the chance to run around the same field their NRL heroes play on, with junior demonstration games to be held both before kick-off and at half time of the NRL clash.

In addition, there will be a Shark lap for junior league volunteers and a junior league guard of honour for the NRL run-out prior to the big game getting underway.

PlayNRL Round is designed to highlight all that’s great about grassroots Rugby League with the Sharks only too happy to join in on the celebrations next week.

As Brown and Graham will say on the NRL Films production, Rugby League is all about having fun, making friends and staying healthy, with the NRL using this round to help promote Junior Rugby League and to thank our future stars, fans, coaches and volunteers at all levels who all combine to make it all possible.

Join the conversation at #PlayNRL, get your tickets at nrl.com/tickets and get to a game.

Those not already involved, talk to your local Junior club about signing-up as a player or volunteer and join the thousands of people who make Rugby League great.

NOTE: And for those who play Junior League or are considering it for this season or for some other time in the future, Super Jaws and Junior Jaws are fun footy clinics in the upcoming school holidays not to be missed.
