Full squad ‘headache’ 1
Shane Flanagan revealed at a staff get together today that Jayson Bukuya had overcome his hamstring problems and would be fit to play in round one next weekend.

He also intimated that Jacob Gagan would also be available, which poses the question as to what the make-up of the Sharks backline might be for the Sharks first NRL game for 2015.

Gordon appears certain to be the fullback, but with Feki, Leutele, Beale, Holmes, Brown, Sauiluma, Bird and now Gagan fit and ready to go, with all having genuine claims on an NRL berth, Flanagan finds himself in the unenviable position of fitting eight players into four positions.

Two field sessions tomorrow and Friday will probably make up his mind, however the coach has until Tuesday afternoon to officially name his team to tackle the Raiders.

In an article headlined ‘Full squad “headache” for coach Flanagan’, Forrest takes a look at the Sharks forward stocks and speculates as to which players are in the running for round one berths.

Sharks in the News
The rugby league media has been focused in a couple of different areas with the season just over a week away, however a number of outlets are now trotting out season preview material outlining their thoughts on the chances of the various teams for 2015.

AAP produced one such preview, which was picked up by a handful of websites and news publications. Titled ‘Summer of Change’ it paints a positive picture of the Sharks hopes for the season ahead.
