The NYC Sharks face a tough assignment when they travel to Allianz Stadium on Saturday to play a Sydney Roosters team firmly entrenched inside the top eight on the competition ladder.
The Sharks, well beaten at their last start by the Broncos, have named a side featuring a number of changes, with three players included in the NSW Cup squad for the Sharks, Fa’amanu Brown currently in the NRL team and team regulars Connor Tracey and Ash Nisbet in Darwin for the Australian Schoolboys championships.
The absence of those players however provides opportunity for others, with Cronulla Caringbah junior Sam Rauicava getting his chance on the wing, Alex Zarounas has been brought in at half back, while Patrick Hasson will make his NYC debut from the interchange bench.
Promising new recruit Brad Deitz, playing against his old club in the Roosters, has been chosen to start the match at hooker.
The Sharks v Roosters NYC match is scheduled for a 5.15pm start at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.
