Sharks member Matt Crosby is heading to the V8 Supercars Sydney 500 this weekend as the winner of the membership prize draw.

All 2014 members, both new and those who had renewed existing memberships, went into the prize draw.

Crosby, a lifetime Sharks supporter and long time member who cheers the team on each week from his seats in the upper deck of the ET Stand at Remondis Stadium, will enjoy all the action of the V8 race up close and personal as the recipient of a trackside pass.

While the Sharks might be his first love, Crosby was looking forward to having the opportunity to take in all the excitement of the Supercars this weekend.

I enjoy the motor racing. When I was living in Darwin I went to the old V8s up there and had a great time, Crosby said.

As for where the allegiances of him and his family lie, not only for this weekend but for the upcoming NRL season, there are a couple of conflicts Crosby will be doing his best to resolve.

Im Ford, my missus is Holden, he admitted. But then again Im Sharks and shes Dragons, although Im trying to convert her to the Sharks and I think she is coming around.

Now living in Sydney Crosby is able to get to Sharks home games on a regular basis, after having previously showed his loyalty to the cause as a Sharks interstate member.

The Trackside Pass to the Sydney 500 claimed by Crosby includes access to the V8 Supercars Paddock for all three days of the event, which is scheduled to take place from December 6-8 at Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush.

Those members who missed out on the V8 Supercars prize are still in the running to win the 'Travel with the Team' prize where a lucky winner will be in New Zealand with the Sharks squad for the exciting Auckland 9's event in February.
