They only returned to training this week however the Sharks have wasted no time in getting back into the local community with planned visits to the various local McDonald's restaurants this Saturday as a part of the annual McHappy Day.


Both NRL and NYC squad members will be flipping burgers, serving customers and meeting and greeting the fans at Taren Point, Caringbah, Sylvania, Cronulla, Heathcote and at the two Miranda Westfield McDonalds Stores in support of the worthwhile initiative.


All monies raised from McHappy Day supports Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodation and assistance to families with sick children in need of long-term hospital care.


The Sharks players to attend the various McDonalds outlets this Saturday, November 9, include Sam Tagataese, Jeff Robson, Jono Wright, Chris Heighington, John Morris, Michael Gordon, Blake Ayshford, Matt Prior, Ricky Leutele, David Fifita, Ben Chahoud, Valentine Holmes, Anthony Moraitis, Sione Masima and Michael Lichaa.


They will be at the McDonalds stores from 12pm-1pm.


The Sharks community engagement will continue on Sunday, November 10 with Nathan Stapleton and former player now Sharks Community ambassador Ben Ross attending the St Catherines Primary School Fete at Gymea from 1pm-2pm, while also on Saturday Nathan Gardner and Ben Ross will be at the Cronulla Caringbah Junior League Presentation Day in the Sharkies Leagues Club Summer Time Bar.


The Cops and Rodders Event at Boystown, Engadine, an automobile exhibition organised by the local police force, will feature appearances by Isaac De Gois and Michael Morris.


The Sharks NRL squad, with help from the NSW Cup and NYC team members, will again be active in the community during the last weeks of 2013 and into 2014 in continuing the work done and outcomes achieved during recent seasons.
