Having slid to eighth position after back-to-back losses, the Newtown Jets are searching for a settling victory against the Raiders at GIO Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
In cold and windy conditions, the Jets were edged out 14-10 by the Sea Eagles in a grim Round 7 contest at Henson Park last weekend.
The Raiders sit in fifth place but are also coming off consecutive defeats, most recently being taken down 20-12 by the Bears at North Sydney Oval.
Newtown will be without key playmaker Daniel Atkinson, who has been called into the Sharks NRL team, but look set to again have the services of powerhouse props Royce Hunt and Tuku Hau Tapuha.
Kick-off on Sunday is at 1.40pm, with the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup fixture to be played as a curtain-raiser to the Sharks-Raiders NRL game.
