Jets Team List: Finals Week 2

Missing a handful of their regular team members who were called up to play for the Sharks in their NRL match against the Storm, the Newtown Jets still managed to record a gusty week one Finals victory to stay alive in the race to claim the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.

Without usual halves Riley Pollard and Niwhai Puru, as well as centres Michael Gabrael and Riley Jones amongst others, and despite losing inspirational hooker Jayden Berrell to injury midway through the second half, the Jets held firm in their elimination final, beating the Warriors 24-18 in progressing to another knock-out game this weekend.

The victory was the seventh in a row for the Newtown side, who now face the North Sydney Bears on Saturday.

The teams have shared the spoils in 2026, the Bears winning the first clash between the two traditional rivals 12-10, before the Jets turned the tables with a 40-30 victory just two weeks before the Finals series kicked off.

The Bears, who finished second following the regular season, lost 26-20 last week to the Newcastle Knights, setting up Saturday's elimination match with the Jet.

The Jets v Bears game is scheduled to get underway at 1pm at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday. See the two team lists below.
