The Newtown Jets, the Sharks partner club in the NSW Cup competition face the New Zealand Warriors in an elimination finals match on Saturday.
The Jets qualified in fourth position after finishing the season with six successive wins, their most recent a 50-16 thrashing of the Eels, with their week one finals opponents sneaking into fifth place courtesy of a tense 10-all draw against the Knights last week.
The two teams have met twice in 2026, with the Warriors victorious on both occasions, 26-24 at Henson Park, and 30-22 in round 15 in a match played in New Zealand.
