NRLW Late Mail: Round 9 v Roosters

Debutant Olivia Herman has been confirmed as a member of the Sharks 17-player squad for today's match against the Roosters at Allianz Stadium.

Herman, who has come through the Sharks pathways system, played a leading role for Cronulla's premiership-winning NSW Women's Premiership team in 2025, comes into the squad as a backup to her teams halves and dummy half.

The unavailability of hooker Quincy Dodd, who suffered an arm fracture in last week's loss to the Eels, has created the opportunity for Herman to play her first game in the top grade, with another youngster in Koffi Brookfield to start at dummy half.

With the Sharks also without the suspended Ellie Johnston, Manilita Takapautolo has been elevated into the run-on side in the front row.

The Sharks play a Roosters team which is undefeated through the opening eight rounds of the 2026 NRLW season.
