Pilot Medical Update - Jesse Ramien

A big blow for the Sharks with Jesse Ramien ruled out for the remainder of the 2026 season after undergoing pectoral repair surgery today. 

The star centre hurt himself in the second half against the Dragons on Sunday afternoon; he then went for scans on Monday, but after seeing a specialist, it was decided the best course of action was surgery.

It's a sad ending to Ramien's tenure at the Sharks with the 29-year-old moving to the Cowboys next season.

Ramien played 167 games for Cronulla, won 104 games, scored 60 tries, added 39 assists, and has had a huge impact off the field as a proud Indigenous role model and great friend to his teammates. 

He'll now work with the club behind the scenes and support the Sharks as they aim to make a big impact come finals time.

There'll be a chance to farewell Jesse at our final home game.
