The next chapter of Sharks Leagues has taken another major step forward, with the launch of a new public microsite giving members, fans and the wider community their first dedicated destination to explore the future of one of The Shire's most anticipated developments.
Now live via this link, the microsite provides an exclusive look inside the club, which remains on track to open in Spring 2026.
Sharks Group CEO Dino Mezzatesta said the launch of the microsite marked an exciting milestone in the journey towards opening.
"The new Sharks Leagues is much more than a new building. We're creating a vibrant destination for our members, fans and community that reflects the energy, lifestyle and spirit of The Shire,” Mezzatesta said.
"The new microsite provides a window into what's coming and allows everyone to follow the journey as we count down towards opening in Spring 2026."
Every week, the project continues to gather momentum, with more finishes being installed, more spaces taking shape and more of the vision becoming reality at Woolooware Bay.
Group Project Manager Mitch Bates has been there right from the start.
“I’m super excited. Seeing all the finishes, seeing all the build come together. Xenia are doing an incredible job, but I think the most exciting part is being able to finally deliver for our members, guests and community that have been waiting so long for this venue,” Bates said.
Visitors to the microsite can explore new renders and information showcasing key experiences, including a welcoming café and gelato bar, a spacious bar and bistro designed as the heart of the venue, premium viewing spaces overlooking Sharks Stadium and The Deck – a landmark outdoor destination expected to become one of the most exciting social and entertainment spaces.
Spanning approximately 1,800 square metres, The Deck will be one of the largest elevated hospitality deck spaces in Sydney. Around 70 per cent of the area will be covered, allowing guests to enjoy the venue comfortably throughout the year while embracing unrivalled views across Sharks Stadium, Botany Bay and the city skyline.
At the centre of The Deck will be a vibrant cocktail bar creating a social hub for the precinct, complemented by a casual Italian kitchen serving fresh pizza and share-style dining designed to be enjoyed with family and friends.
Inside, the bar and bistro will feature soaring ceilings, abundant natural light and an expansive open-plan layout that creates a remarkable sense of scale. Designed for every occasion, the space will cater for everything from casual catchups and family dinners to celebrations, game days and drinks with friends. Multiple large-format screens will ensure guests remain connected to the action year-round.
New Sharks Leagues Club General Manager Julien Bova said it’ll be the best spot in the house.
“This is what it’s all about, those views, out on the deck, I can’t think of a better place to be any day of the week. Come and enjoy a drink, come and enjoy a meal. There’s nowhere else in the Shire like it. We can’t wait to welcome you in,” Bova said.
The microsite also features behind-the-scenes construction updates, plus newsletter sign-up, with personalised interest selections, career opportunities and regular project news.
Members, fans and the community are encouraged to visit SharksLeagues.com.au and register for updates as the countdown to opening continues.
