The are inviting applications to trail for players interested in being a part of the Sharks Winter Academy program.
Only open to players registered and playing with local Cronulla-Sutherland District junior league clubs, the Winter Academy program is an integral part of the Sharks pathways system, with squads to be assembled in the under 14s, 15s and 16s age groups following trials at the Cronulla High School fields on Monday, June 1.
Trials will not be conducted for the under 18’s Academy squad, with player selection based on JRL performance.
Successful trial applicants will be notified and forwarded further information.
Players selected in the final squads will take part in a training block and games aimed at preparing them to advance to NSWRL Junior Representative level.
The Sharks Winter Academy also requires enthusiastic and qualified staff to ensure its success and is inviting expressions of interest and applications to fill a variety of roles including coaches, sports trainers, physiotherapists, equipment coordinators, strength and conditioners, team managers and ground announcers/timers.
Interviews for staff roles will be by invite only.

Players invited to trial are to come ready to train. If players require strapping and should arrive already strapped.
Players to bring: Boots, mouthguards, suitable training attire, waiver form (will be available on website or at ground), drink bottle.
Triallists will be required to complete and bring the trial waiver form. See below.
Applications close FRIDAY 29TH MAY, with a start date for the Winter Academy training sessions to commence on MONDAY 15th JUNE.
