The under-17 Lisa Fiaola Cup squad showed great improvement as the season progressed, while the Sharks Tarsha Gale team won their way through to the Grand Final, with the two successful seasons celebrated at the Female Pathways Presentation night.
At the event held at Sharks at Kareela, attended by players, coaches, support staff, members of the Sharks Board of Directors and CEO Dino Mezzatesta, the major award on the night went to Koffi Brookfield, the Tarsha Gale hooker named Female Pathways Player of the Year.
In the Lisa Fiaola Cup, the Sharks won their final round match to progress to the Finals, where they were narrowly beaten 27-26 to a Storm team which has earlier in the season delivered a 48-0 thumping to the young Cronulla side. Despite the loss it emphasised the improvement made throughout the year.
The Lisa Fiaola Sharks, coached by Isaac Michael, won four and lost four to finish the regular season in seventh position.
In relation Lisa Fialoa Cup awards, Players Player went to lock forward Laila Poto, who edged out teammates Tahli Weigand, Tascha Maameivei and Ngamiri Hughes to claim the award.
As for the Fiaola Player of the Year it was clever ball playing, and gold kicking, half back Tahli Weigand who claimed the award, with Poto, Shaleah Field and Eden Edwards the other nominees.
Sharks NRLW backrower and 2025 Veronica White Medalist Rhiannon Byers presented the Lisa Fiaola awards.
And while their under-17 counterparts enjoyed a successful campaign, for the Andrew Fifita-coached Tarsha Gale Under19 Sharks, it was so close but no cigar as they went down the Grand Final to the Parramatta Eels.
The Sharks won six games, losing two during the nine round season, beating the Roosters then Knights in the Tarsha Finals, before falling by 20-6 to the Eels in the competition deciding match.
In Tarsha Gale awards half back Julliana Kolio halfback was named Players Player, ahead of award nominees Koffi Brookfield, Ella Ropata and Manawanui James.
Kolio was amongst the nominees for Player of the Year, alongside Brookfield, Julliana, Genevieve Mafi and Makayla Vakauta, with Brookfield taking out the award.
The final award on the nigh went to Brookfield, who was a leading light in her teams run to the Grand Final.
NRLW squad member and local junior Steph Faulkner presented the Tarsha Gale awards, while NSW and Jillaroos representative Quincy Dodd was MC on the night.
