MATCH CENTRE

Three tries in the first 11 minutes put the Sharks firmly on the front foot from the outset. Hooker Xavier Cacciotti found the line in the opening minute to set the tone for the away side, who skipped out to a 14-0 lead before being pegged back to 14-12 by back-to-back Silktails strikes. A crucial four-pointer before half-time to dynamic interchange dummy-half Jai Camilleri swung momentum back in Cronulla's favour and they kicked on from there. Four more tries in the second half, including a double to classy winger Richard Whalebone, sealed an important victory for the young Sharks, who now boast a 4-2 record (plus a bye).
