Jersey Flegg Cup
Sharks 36 (Jai Camilleri two, Pharrell Gray, Adrian Sandy, Richard Whalebone, Nikora Williams, Yuri Hromow; Marc Tannous one goal, Nikora Williams three goals) def Warriors 12
After leading 6-4 at half-time, the Sharks cracked open the match with a second-half scoring spree to run out comfortable victors. Four tries in the final 15 minutes blew out the margin and showcased Cronulla's attacking flair. The Sharks now boast a solid 2-2 record after four matches (plus a bye).
Knock On Effect NSW Cup
Jets 24 (Riley Pollard, Michael Gabrael, Riley Jones, Cathane Hill tries; Riley Pollard four goals) def by Warriors 26
The Jets let slip a 24-14 lead as the Warriors snatched victory with an intercept try to Ali Leiataua in the 73rd minute. Both teams were perfect off the tee, but a Jett Cleary penalty goal ultimately proved the difference for the New Zealand side. Injuries to centre Michael Gabrael (knee – scans to confirm severity) and prop Braden Uele (concussion) rubbed salt into Newtown's wounds. The Jets have a 2-2 record (plus a bye) after five rounds, good enough for sixth place.
