Round 1 Charity Partner: Sutherland Shire Relay For Life
Sutherland Shire Relay For Life and Cancer Council are the official Sharks Have Heart charity partners for Round 1.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Sutherland Shire Relay for Life – a heartwarming 24-hour community event in which relayers walk or run laps in teams to raise vital funds for Cancer Council NSW's research initiatives.
A truly unique event that unites our community in a powerful and meaningful way, Relay for Life celebrates cancer survivorship, honours the memory of those we have lost and takes action in the fight against cancer.
Proudly organised by dedicated local volunteers, Sutherland Shire Relay For Life has become the largest relay event in Australia, raising close to $8 million in total.
The 2026 event will run across Saturday May 2 and 3 at Don Lucas Reserve, Wanda Beach. To support the cause, you can get involved in a Relay team, donate directly or buy a 50/50 Charity Raffle ticket online or at the game.
50/50 Charity Raffle
Purchase a ticket for the 50-50 Charity Raffle and go in the draw to win a big cash prize! Half of the overall funds raised will support Sutherland Shire Relay For Life and Cancer Council, with the other 50% to be pocketed by a lucky raffle winner.
