Sharks blitz Shire schools

The Sharks NRL training squad visited 13 primary schools across the Sutherland Shire on Monday, delivering presentations on healthy habits to more than 2000 students and teachers.

Spreading from Cronulla to as far south as Waterfall, 40-plus players spent the morning after the 2026 Season Launch engaging with the local school community about the importance of hydration, rest, sleep and physical activity.

Sharks NRLW star Quincy Dodd, who doubles as the Cronulla area's designated NRL Game Development Officer, spearheaded the School Blitz.

Dodd was supported by the NRL Southern Game Development team, the Sharks Sport & Business Diploma class and the Sharks Have Heart community team.

Vinh Tran, Sharks Head of Community & Government Relations, said: "The annual School Blitz is one of the highlights on the club's community calendar.

"It's always great to connect with our school community, and our players take great joy in helping to inspire and educate the next generation.

"We look forward to continuing to work with our school network throughout 2026."
