Hynes confirmed for Indigenous All Stars

Sharks halfback Nicho Hynes will notch up his fourth appearance for the Indigenous All Stars against the Māori All Stars at FMG Stadium Waikato, Hamilton on Sunday, February 15.

Hynes, a proud Wiradjuri man, was the first player confirmed for the much-anticipated cultural fixture by the NRL on Tuesday night. Full squads for the annual pre-season clash are expected to be announced later this week.

Hynes made his debut for the Indigenous All Stars in 2022. He missed last year's match due to Cronulla's preparations for a season-opening match in Las Vegas but will proudly represent his culture once more.

While not confirmed, the playmaker's halves partner Braydon Trindall is one of several Sharks players in contention for the Indigenous side.

Hynes' selection means he won't be available for the Sharks' opening Pre-Season Challenge match against the Parramatta Eels at Henson Park on February 15.
