Rising Shark Dellow receives prestigious schoolboy honour

Australian Schoolboys captain Tom Dellow received a prestigious NSW Combined High Schools Blue award for sporting excellence in a ceremony at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Monday.

The rising Sharks star, who is currently training with the NRL squad throughout the pre-season, has been a schoolboy standout for Endeavour Sports High School.

A skilful and uncompromising lock forward, Dellow stepped up to Under 19 SG Ball Cup in 2025 after being crowned Cronulla's 2024 Junior Rep Player of the Year.

Representing NSW CHS, Dellow was named Player of the Series at the national All Schools carnival won by Queensland in July. He subsequently earned Australian Schoolboys selection for a second consecutive year, leading the team to a 22-14 win over the Junior Kumuls in Port Moresby in October.

The teenager also guided Endeavour to the preliminary finals of this year's Mulholland Cup – the toughest schoolboy rugby league tournament in Australia.

Dellow was one of several Endeavour students to be awarded a NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association Blue – the highest recognition bestowed upon a student in the High Potential and Gifted Sporting Education Program.

Recipients must have demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, dedication and commitment while representing an NSW CHSSA team.

Fellow Sharks and Endeavour young gun Jake White, who also represented the Australian Schoolboys, recently received a Sydney East Blue for rugby league.
