It doesn't get much better than Sunday afternoon footy and the NRLW competition is here to deliver the goods when it comes to quality viewing.

All NRLW games during the 2026 season will be broadcast via Channel 9, 9Now, Kayo and FOXTEL.

Two clubs who didn't achieve the success they would have like in 2025 will face off in a battle of the west in the first of the season's Sunday match-ups. For the two Western Sydney rivals, the opening round match will provide an opportunity to make their first positive steps on from the 2025 season. The Eels just missed out on a finals berth despite doing all they could with last-round win over the Bulldogs; while despite their best efforts, Wests Tigers finished 2025 with their second wooden spoon in consecutive seasons.

The two teams have enjoyed a healthy rivalry for a number of seasons, but there will be even more attention turned to this game by fans when the Broncos host the Knights. Superstar halfback Jesse Southwell is set to face off against her former club for the first time, having made the move to Brisbane for the 2026 season. Her signing with the defending premiers Brisbane sees her join Romy Teitzel and 2025 Dally M medal winner Tamika Upton as players who have featured for both teams.

All eyes will be on the Eels and Knights in Round 5 as they face off in the final match of the Magic Round weekend in new host city Wagga Wagga. In its second season, the round sees all 12 NRLW teams in action at the same venue, giving fans a chance to see all their favourite players live in the one place. At Magic Round in Newcastle last year, the Knights proved far too strong for the Raiders with an 18-0 win in front of their hometown fans, while the Eels prevailed 12-10 in a thriller against the Dragons to close out the weekend.

Eels v Dragons - Round 5, 2025

A rare Sunday game for the Cowboys will take place in Round 7 when the home side host the Sharks in what shapes as a revenge game for the Townsville-based team. The last time these two sides met, Cronulla came to town to spoil the celebrations of the home team after knocking them out of the running in their historic first finals showing, posting a 24-18 win in a close match. With former Cowboy China Polata also signing with the Sharks in the off-season, there will be plenty of interest in this match.

Representative stars Gayle Broughton, Annetta-Claudia Nu’uausala and Mele Hufanga return to face their former club the Broncos for the first time since claiming the 2025 premiership title together. Another former Broncos star in Stacey Waka - who made her rugby league debut with the club in 2024 at Totally Workwear Stadium - is also set to return to the field where she starred on the wing, claiming a Dally M Winger of the Year nod in her first foray in the code.

Waaka away!
