Sharks pay tribute to 2016 as new home jersey revealed

Celebrating a decade since the historic 2016 NRL season, the Sharks will wear a near-identical home jersey next season to channel the spirit of the club's maiden premiership-winning team.

The sleek 2026 jersey, manufactured by Classic Sportswear, features iconic black panels down the sides as worn by captain Paul Gallen and his drought-breaking troops when they conquered the Storm to claim a famous Grand Final victory.

Predominantly sky blue with white splashed across the chest and sleeves, the jersey features sponsors Aramex (front), Ace Gutters (sleeves), Pilot (sternum), Zambrero (top back) and Reozone (bottom back).

Cronulla's current star halfback Nicho Hynes and his 2016 counterpart Chad Townsend came together for a special photoshoot to unveil the jersey, connecting the past and present as the Sharks aim to create more history.

The strip, along with the remainder of the new Classic supporter range, is now available for pre-order online. The relocated Sharks Store at Woolooware Bay will be stocked with the latest threads when it opens the week of November 17.
