
Despite a luckless run of injuries, a youthful Sharks side came within a whisker of advancing to the NRLW Grand Final.
While they didn't take home the silverware, Tony Herman's troops showed tremendous courage as they battled through adversity to go deep into the playoffs.

2025 NRLW Season: By the Numbers
1 – point short of qualifying for a second consecutive Grand Final after pushing the then-undefeated Roosters all the way against the odds.
2 – tries scored on debut against the Raiders by history-making prop Stephanie Faulkner, who became the first player to progress all the way through Cronulla's female pathways (Lisa Fiaola, Tarsha Gale, Harvey Norman, NRLW).

3 – games played by Caitlan Johnston-Green, who remarkably returned to the NRLW just 11 weeks after giving birth. Unfortunately, a facial fractured sidelined the two-time premiership-winning forward before she truly found her feet.
4 – tries scored by Player of the Year Emma Verran in a club-record haul against the Raiders in Round 2. The international fullback's scintillating performance also included 199 metres, five line breaks, two try assists and eight tackle busts.

6 – victories in the regular season, highlighted by four in a row from Round 6-9. This was enough to secure fifth place, with the Sharks going on to defeat the Cowboys in the first week of the finals before bravely testing the Roosters.
8 – club debutantes (Jacinta Carter, Chantay Kiria-Ratu, Anne-Marie Kiria-Ratu*, Stephanie Faulkner*, Grace-Lee Weekes*, Tyla King, Leki Leilua*). An injury avalanche gave coach Tony Herman the chance to promote talented youngsters like Faulkner, Weekes, Anne Maria-Kiria Ratu and Leilua into the top grade.

9 – try assists by 20-year-old halfback Chantay Kiria-Ratu (fifth most in the league), who was one of four players to feature in all 13 matches for Cronulla.

10 – tries scored by Georgia Ravics in 12 games – a club record. The winger now boasts an NRLW record of 20 tries in 28 appearances.
13 – line breaks by Emma Verran, the most in the team.
14 – offloads by utility Georgia Hannaway, the most in the team.
42 – points scored by Georgia Hannaway (two tries, 17 goals). Georgia Ravics (40 points) ranked second in the team on account of her try-scoring prowess.

45 – tackle busts by Cassie Staples (3.4 per game), the 13th most in the league.
420 – tackles by second-rower Talei Holmes (average of 32 per game), the fourth most in the league. Lock Brooke Anderson (335) ranked 10th in the league.
719 – post-contact metres run by Tiana Penitani Gray, the fifth most in the league.

1875 – metres run by Cassie Staples (144m per game), the fifth most in the league. Ellie Johnston (1734m – 133m per game) ranked second among all props.
3644 – total tackles made by the Sharks, more than any other team.
3984 – kick metres by Chantay Kiria-Ratu, the most in the league. The gifted playmaker put boot to ball 149 times throughout the season (third in the league).
18,505 – the team's total run metres – third most behind Roosters and Broncos.
