The Sharks have suffered an injury blow with centre Jesse Ramien ruled out for the remainder of the home and away season.
Ramien, who has missed just one game so far in 2025 in making 20 appearances in the top grade, suffered a broken thumb in the Sharks loss to the Dragons last Saturday, with a recovery period of four to six weeks expected.
The experienced Mawene Hiroti, in strong form in NSW Cup in recent weeks, has been named to take Ramien’s place in the Sharks team for the game against the Gold Coast on Saturday.
In further injury news, KL Iro is nearing a return to the field after being sidelined since round 14 due to a pectoral injury. It was hoped Iro would be available for selection prior to the NRL Finals series.
