Nikora suspended for three matches

Sharks second-rower Briton Nikora will miss the remainder of the regular season after accepting a three-match ban for a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle in Saturday's loss to the Dragons.

Nikora was sin-binned and cited for a hit on Corey Allan in the 77th minute at Jubilee Stadium. Being his third and subsequent charge of this nature, the Kiwi Test star faced a four-game suspension if he unsuccessfully appealed to the judiciary.

The 27-year-old will be sidelined for clashes with the Titans (Round 24), Knights (Round 26) and Bulldogs (Round 27), with Cronulla having a bye in Round 25.

Nikora will be available for week one of the finals provided the Sharks qualify.
